Twenty years inside textile and apparel — and the technology to run it the way your team already works.
Your textile supply chain.
Built around the way
you work.
Factory sourcing and inspection, compliance, traceability, shipment visibility and department-specific AI — assembled around your operation instead of replacing it.
Your data is everywhere.
Your intelligence shouldn't be.
A textile organisation runs across email, Teams, WhatsApp, Excel, PDFs, laboratories, inspection teams, compliance portals and logistics providers. Nothing is missing — it is simply scattered. The cost is paid in people searching, re-asking and re-typing what someone in the building already knew.
Where integrations or approved access are available, relevant information can be brought into a unified workflow. What can be connected — and how — is confirmed system by system with your IT team.
Not a trader.
Not a buying agent.
A partner built around your operation.
Spend Matters Solutions brings together roughly twenty years of textile and apparel experience and a technology team that builds around it — sourcing and factory qualification, independent inspection, compliance and traceability, shipment visibility and custom AI for the departments that carry the workload.
Every textile company runs differently. Merchandising lives in Outlook and Teams, the factory answers on WhatsApp, costings sit in Excel, test reports arrive as PDFs from three laboratories, audits sit in a compliance portal and the ERP holds the order — each one useful, none of them talking to the others.
We don't ask a textile company to adopt one giant supply-chain platform and rebuild itself around the software. We connect, automate and improve the processes you already run. Your existing workflow is the starting point — not something we ask you to throw away.

“Bring us your textile problem. We'll help you build the right way to solve it.”
Four capabilities, one accountable team — and the technology to hold them together.
See every thread,
brilliantly.
From the first enquiry to the container arriving at your warehouse, the work is the same work your team already does. We take the parts you want handed over, and give the rest back to you organised.
Global sourcing
Factory identification, qualification, multi-region negotiation and production follow-up.
Quality & inspection
Independent inspection from fabric and base material through to final, at your AQL level.
Digital compliance & traceability
Testing, audits, certificates, customer-specific requirements and supplier traceability — tracked, not filed.
Custom AI & SaaS
Department-specific automation designed around your workflow, deployed in your environment or ours.
Shipment intelligence
Booking to arrival — connected across all four, so the last mile isn't the blind one.
Global sourcing
without guesswork.
Finding a factory is the easy part. The work is knowing which factory can hold your price, your quality and your delivery at the same time — and staying on it after the order is placed.
Before a single supplier is contacted we study what you are actually buying — the product and its construction, the fabric, the target FOB, quantity, delivery window, quality expectation and compliance requirement. Where you have history with the style or with previous suppliers, that history is part of the brief.
We compare capable factories across our qualified regions — India, Bangladesh and China — and, where a product calls for it, look further. The objective is not the cheapest quotation. It is the right balance of price, product capability, quality, compliance, free capacity, lead time, past performance and how well the factory communicates when something goes wrong.
A factory enters your programme only after it is qualified: ownership and history, experience with comparable customers, audit and compliance status, product capability, real production capacity, internal quality systems, social compliance and commercial reliability. What we learn is recorded, so the next enquiry starts from evidence rather than memory.
We negotiate with suitable suppliers in more than one region so that you have a genuine commercial comparison instead of the first quotation that arrived. FOB, MOQ, material cost, making cost, lead time, quality level, compliance position, payment terms and the logistics implication are compared on the same sheet.
Sourcing does not stop when a factory is introduced. Product development, sample follow-up, cost negotiation, fabric and trim approval, production planning, quality and compliance follow-up and shipment follow-up continue until the goods are on the water — with the status visible to you rather than sitting in someone's inbox.
Qualified sourcing.
Wherever the product makes sense.
We select the manufacturing region from your product, target price, quantity, quality level, compliance requirement and delivery date — not from where we happen to have an office.
India
IND · Head officeKnitwear, home textile and wovens, with strength in smaller and mid-size programmes, shorter runs and organic and recycled cotton. Merchandising, sampling and inspection run by our own team on the ground.
Bangladesh
BGD · VolumeRepeat and high-volume programmes in wovens, outerwear, denim and basic knits around Dhaka and Chattogram, where unit economics at scale and audited compliance status usually decide the placement.
China
CHN · TechnicalTechnical fabric, performance wear, complex finishing, trims and hardgoods — the placement of choice when engineering, material development and finishing matter more than labour cost.
These are our primary qualified regions, not a boundary. Where a product, duty position or delivery requirement points somewhere else, we qualify the supply base there to the same standard before recommending it.
Independent inspection.
Exactly to your standard.
Controlling quality in Asia should not require you to keep a buying agent or a liaison office of your own. Our inspection team works to your specification, your checkpoints and your acceptance level — and reports to you, not to the factory.
Pre-production
A pre-production meeting with your team and the factory, so expectations are agreed before machines run rather than argued afterwards.
- Pre-production meeting
- Production readiness review
- Specification and tech-pack review
- Quality expectations confirmed
- Critical points identified
Fabric & base material
Most quality failures are decided long before the sewing line. Material is checked at the point where a problem can still be corrected.
- Fabric inspection
- Base-material inspection
- Material verification against approval
- Defect identification and classification
Production inspections
Inline, midline and final — as many or as few as your programme needs, scheduled against the factory's actual production plan.
- Inline inspection
- Midline inspection
- Final random inspection
- Re-inspection after corrective action
Reporting
A clean, structured inspection report online — with the findings, the evidence and the decision, available the same day the inspector leaves the floor.
- Structured digital report
- Photographic evidence
- Defect breakdown and result
- Corrective-action follow-up
Your AQL, not ours.
Inspection is performed to the acceptance quality level your programme requires. A promotional basic and a technical outerwear style rarely deserve the same standard — the customer's requirement determines which applies.
Sampling plan, defect classification and major/minor definitions are agreed with you before the first inspection.
Categories we know on the floor.
Inspectors who understand the product catch what a checklist misses. Our experience covers both woven and knitted construction across everyday apparel categories.
Reports can be delivered through the Spend Matters application or pushed into the system your quality team already uses — the application is an option, not a condition.
Compliance should be a workflow.
Not a folder.
Most compliance failures are not refusals to comply. They are a certificate that expired quietly, an audit finding nobody closed, or a document that existed but could not be produced on the day it was asked for.
Audits & certification
The recurring frameworks your customers ask about, tracked per supplier with status and validity rather than as a shared drive.
Findings to closure
An audit result is a starting point. Corrective actions are assigned, chased and closed, with the evidence attached to the supplier record.
Documents that hold up
Supplier compliance history and the documentation behind an order, organised so it can be produced when a customer or authority asks.
Licence workflows, tracked like any other requirement.
Licensed product carries its own layer of approvals — artwork, placement, sampling and documentation, each with its own deadline. Where you work on licensed programmes, those requirements can be tracked alongside the rest of the order.
- Licence requirements per style and market
- Approval status and outstanding submissions
- Artwork and placement follow-up
- Supplier compliance against licensor terms
- Required documentation register
- Expiry and renewal dates
Spend Matters does not grant, issue or represent any licence. Where a customer holds licences — for example character or brand programmes such as Disney, Marvel, Smiley or FAMA — we help track the approvals, artwork and documentation those programmes require.
Turn thousands of PDFs
into decisions.
Lab reports, fabric and garment testing, chemical and performance results, customer-specific protocols — they arrive as documents and are read by a person who has forty other things to do.
This is document intelligence and workflow automation, not a laboratory opinion. The result of a test is the laboratory's; what we do is make sure the right person sees it in time.
- Read reports as they arrive, in the format they arrive in
- Extract the results that matter to your requirement
- Identify pass and fail status against the defined standard
- Compare results with the customer's specification
- Flag missing tests before the shipment is booked
- Track retesting through to a closed result
- Alert the responsible team, not a shared mailbox
AI for your department.
Not another generic platform.
A merchandiser chasing approvals, a QA manager reading defect reports and a compliance officer watching certificate expiry are not doing the same job — and a single platform that treats them the same helps none of them. We build for the department, around the workflow it already runs.
We don't sell you a giant supply-chain system and ask you to change your business around it. We build the technology around your business — starting with the systems, files and habits your team already has.
Built for the desk that does the work.
Modular capabilities, developed according to what a department actually needs. Start with one. Add another when it earns its place.
- Supplier discovery from your own history and enquiries
- Side-by-side supplier comparison
- Historical performance surfaced at quotation stage
- Price comparison across regions and seasons
- Negotiation intelligence — what was agreed, and when
- Email interpretation and order-relevant extraction
- Tech-pack information pulled into structured fields
- Sample status and follow-up
- Buyer communication history in one thread
- Critical-date monitoring with early warnings
- Inspection reports read and summarised
- Defect analysis by factory, style and line
- Quality trends over seasons
- Corrective-action follow-up until closure
- Audit tracking across the supplier base
- Compliance-document follow-up
- Certificate expiry monitoring
- Customer-specific compliance requirements
- PDF test reports read and indexed
- Test-result extraction into comparable fields
- Pass and fail identification against your requirement
- Required-test tracking by style and market
- Expiry and retest reminders
- Shipment follow-up without manual chasing
- Container monitoring
- Vessel information consolidated
- Forwarder communication tracked
- ETA monitoring and change alerts
These are examples, not a catalogue. Modules are scoped against your workflow — a department with an unusual process gets a solution shaped to it.
Your environment
or ours.
A solution only helps if it lives where your organisation can actually run it. The same workflow can be deployed on your own infrastructure or delivered through the Spend Matters hosted application — the architecture follows your IT reality, not ours.
Runs inside your organisation
Where it is appropriate, the solution is deployed on your own infrastructure or server and works against your existing systems and access rules. Your data stays where your IT policy expects it to be.
- Deployed on your infrastructure
- Works with your existing applications
- Access follows your internal permissions
- Change requests handled with your IT team
Runs on the Spend Matters application
If you would rather not carry the infrastructure, use our hosted application. Your team logs in, the workflow runs, and reports and alerts can still be pushed back into the systems you already use.
- Nothing to install or maintain
- Faster to start
- Reports exportable to your systems
- Users and roles managed with you
Deployment architecture can be designed around your organisation's infrastructure, access and security requirements. Specific arrangements are agreed case by case.
From container booking to arrival.
Stay ahead of the ETA.
The order is finished, the risk is not. Most delivery surprises are visible days before anyone notices them — in a booking that slipped, a vessel that was changed or an ETA that quietly moved.
- Booking
- Forwarder
- Container
- Vessel
- Port
- Transit
- ETA
- Delivery
What is followed
- Container follow-up against the booking
- Vessel booking confirmation
- Forwarder follow-up and correspondence
- Shipment status by order and style
- Vessel tracking through third-party tracking services
- ETA monitoring and change alerts
- Exception alerts when something moves
Why it matters
The value is not a map. It is that your team stops opening five carrier sites every morning to find out that nothing changed — and hears about it the day it does.
Vessel and container tracking uses third-party data and services, and its accuracy depends on those sources. Alerts are decision support for your team, not a guarantee of carrier performance.
One chain.
Human expertise + AI intelligence.
Sourcing, inspection, compliance and technology are not separate products here. Select a stage to see who does what.
Reading the requirement the way a merchandiser would — construction, price reality and what the buyer actually means by “premium”.
Past enquiries, quotations and performance surfaced against the new brief, so the shortlist starts from evidence.
Start with the problem.
Not with the software.
Tell us your problem
A sourcing requirement, a quality issue, a compliance gap, a document-heavy workflow or a department losing its week to follow-up. Any of them is a valid starting point.
Understand the workflow
We look at how your team actually works today — which systems you use, where information stops moving and where the time is going.
Design the solution
We propose the right combination of sourcing support, inspection, workflow automation, AI and SaaS — and say plainly what is not worth doing.
Implement
Delivered through our application or designed around your existing environment, with the scope agreed before anyone writes code.
Improve continuously
Seasons change, customers change, requirements change. The system is adjusted as your business moves rather than frozen at launch.
Tell us what is slowing
your team down.
Whether you need a sourcing partner, independent inspection, compliance visibility, shipment intelligence or a custom AI workflow — start with the problem. We'll help define the right solution.
